Watch, Enjoy, Learn then Share Inspiring Movies with a Motivational Message on Pathfinders TV | Ian Banyard's Pathfinders TV | Scoop.it

Pathfinders are people who make a positive difference in life by making the decision to be the change they want to see in the world. Pathfinders lead by example and inspire and motivate others to follow them and perhaps, become Pathfinders themselves.

This online magazine will showcase amazing Pathfinders who tell inspirational stories with a motivational message. Please WATCH, ENJOY, LEARN and then SHARE - let's all be Pathfinders and be the change we want to see in the world and make a positive difference.

If you haven’t already done so, please watch the inspirational film about Terry Fox one of Canada’s greatest heroes and Pathfinder.

Terry Fox’s message – that every person can make a difference – resonated with people who witnessed his transformative journey back in 1981. As a result millions of people every year take to the streets all over the world to support his legacy. I witnessed Terry Fox’s spirit in action while working in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of 2010. I watched in admiration as thousands of people took to the streets, enduring the desert heat to run for charity. Amazingly, many of the young runners were not even born when Pathfinder and Canadian hero Terry set the example almost 30 years ago.

A world within: Philip Gray in the rainforests of Borneo

In Autumn of 2011 my search for inspiration took me to the other side of the world, deep into the heart of Borneo’s rainforests to hidden places, where very few have ventured before.  I learned about life, I've learned about the special people that are there... they don't have money, but they're trying to retain the rainforest in as best way they can and now I understand why this has to be.

J.K. Rowling - The Importance of Imagination

At her Harvard commencement speech, “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling offers some powerful, heartening advice to dreamers and overachievers, including one hard-won lesson that she deems “worth more than any qualification I ever earned.”

A single mother who battled poverty and depression as she struggled to launch her writing career, Joanne “JK” Rowling was to become perhaps the most famous contemporary fiction writer in the world, with her Harry Potter series of children’s books — a chronicle of the adventures of an adolescent wizard of the same name. The fourth volume of the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was the fastest-selling book in history.

Since completing the series, Rowling has put her fortune toward philanthropic projects dealing with poverty, multiple sclerosis and other issues through her own Volant Charitable Trust.
“I’d give a lot to know how many teenagers (and preteens) texted this message in the days following the last book’s release: DON’T CALL ME TODAY I’M READING.”
Stephen King

Where are the people who can just show you how you can become more without scaring you away with bizarre c**p?
Julie Lyddon's comment, February 22, 2013 9:32 PM
One place you could have found those people is EcoDysgu but the powers to be have managed to close us down! See www.ecodysgu.org.uk - we don't stare or change our names, we just allowed all visitors to play and wonder, get dirty and creative and grow BUT hey they managed to get rid of us, well just about, we're actually still hanging on with our finger nails in the desperate attempt to not become totally cynical.

Nick Vujicic - Perspective, Vision, Choices.

Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around a friend ; no hands to hold the ones you love; no fingers to experience touch ; no way to lift or carry things. How much more difficult would life be if you were living without arms and hands? Or what about legs? Imagine if instead of no arms, you had no legs. No ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand. Now put both of those scenarios together… no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that affect your everyday life?

At 28 years old, this limbless young man has accomplished more than most people accomplish in a lifetime. Nick recently made the massive move from Brisbane, Australia to California, USA, where he is the President of an international 501c3 non-profit organization; Life Without Limbs. Since his first speaking engagement back when he was 19, Nick has traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions of people, speaking to a range of different groups such as students, teachers, youth, businessmen and women, entrepreneurs, and church congregations of all sizes. He has also told his story and been interviewed on various televised programs worldwide.

What is Happiness with Pete Cohen

Any discussion of happiness provokes debate about what it is and if it can be bought with money.

Research consistently shows that the path to happiness is somewhat complex.

In 2003 my good friend and Pathfinder Pete Cohen gained international recognition for defining the ‘formula’ for happiness. Since then he has been delivering workshops and seminars all over the world on the Art of Happiness.

Pete recently made this short film about happiness and we are excited about showing it to you and reading your comments. Pete wants to find out from as many people in the World as possible their thoughts, feelings and observations about “What Is Happiness?’
