My Interview

These are my interview questions and answers from my interviewee

Zachary Harding's insight:

1. Do you know of any other resources that would be helpful for my project?

 

A. you may be able to get additional info about HR through the HR Associations there is a local chapter Westmoreland human resouces assoc (WHRA).

 

2. How Much fo people get paid for the job?

 

A. The Pay For individuals who work in the HR  professional will vary it depends on the job you do 

 

3. What are things i need to be successful for the job?

 

A. to work in HR the types of skills and competencies required for the position again will vary. In some cases I might need a college degree a masters degree or HR cerification (PHR,SPHR,GRHP)

 

4. how long would it take somebody to get used to doing the job?

 

A. see #9

 

5. What skills would i need for the job?

 

A. See #3

 

6. What is HR?

 

A. HR is the function dealing with the management of people employed within the organization

 

7. What things are involved in HR?

 

A. Recruiting/ Staffing

     Benefit administration

      employee Realtions

       HRIS- Management information System

       Safety and Worker Comp

        Leave of absence administration

         

 8. What does a person in HR do  on the com for new applications?

 

A. There are a Variety of uses for the cpmputer when it comes to new applications. first we can use technology to permit employees to appl for positions rather than filling a manual application and mail it or drop it off. there are many other uses for technology

 

9. How long did it take you to get used to do the job on what you do now?


A. Because she has been working in HR For over 15 years. it didnt take her long to get acclimated to the job that i have now. She just had to learn the different policies and Procedures at this organization and merge them with the skills she already learned it will also depend on how large the organization is

 

10. Around how many People a Day Send in Applications for a Job?

 

A. it varies every day but if I had to guess we probably get average anywhere between 10-35 applications per day. Some are repeat apllicants ( meaning they applied in the past) it will vary based on the jobs we have available that interest the applicants, as well as the current advertising. if we advertise a job in the newspaprt or online that really interests a lot of people we Could get over 35 applicants a day for it
