It's always a good idea to listen to your mother, but that goes double for baby fairy-wrens even before they are hatched.

Fun Fact: We humans aren't the only one's who have language. Fairy-wren babies are taught a unique "password" before they are even hatched. The children won't get fed until the parent hears this special password.

A 93-year-old who spoke only Chickasaw, one of about 65 fluent Chickasaw speakers, died last week.
Destine Fuchs's insight:

Emily was the last person to only speak Chickasaw. After her passing there are only 65 people who can fluently speak this language, but they all are also bilingual in English. This small number used to be in the thousands in the 60's. It's crazy to believe that a largely spoken language can widdle away.
