Terrence Ezzard's insight:

This scoop is about how Hip hop blurred the color line and brought different ethnicities. What it doesn't talk about is that was then and now the music higher ups are not pushing the same brand of music that they were pushing in hip hop's beginning phase. There are many sides to the hip hop story, that need to be told, but all at once. This article should have also included the negative effects of hip hop and the comparison between then and now should be explored.

Terrence Ezzard's insight:

I picked this Scoop because it is an example of how lyrics in hip hop songs can portray a negative effect on the listener or how they can have a positive effect. This song is more on the realism of race, but it also hits on the points of how black society view their women, flashiness, and money. It could be taken as an insult or as just the way society see's  black and white. Whatever the case hip hop is being used to relay messages good and bad.

HIP HOP IS DESTROYING THE BLACK YOUTH

Hip Hop music is one of the major reasons why the black youth continue to destroy their lifes before they began them.
Terrence Ezzard's insight:

This scoop is a raw uncut opinion.  The article talks about how hip hop used to be considered an art form.  Now it gets the label as the destroyer of black youth. The video show one man's point of view, some were very on point, but some were more exaggerated points of view. The guy seems to be mad about how he grew up, and blames it on hip hop. This could go either way because we as a society are only being exposed to what the higher ups want to push in hip hop.

Terrence Ezzard's insight:

This Scoop is about how there is a positive outlet in hip hop, but that there are not a lot of big companies behind this type of hip hop, so it's a struggle for them to reach the masses with a message more than just Money, Sex, and drugs.  As long as the big wigs continue to push only certain types of hip hop the culture will continue to be under scrutiny as negative on youth and society.
