We all have goals at work, something to shoot for, a guage to measure against ... even Parking Enforcement Officer's need a goal or two.

I think what amazed me about this article more than anything was the amount of detail the Staff Reporter provided with the maps and breaking the streets down by total amount of tickets and dollar value.

One Dealer's "What Else You Got?" Attitude Sells Cars | How To Buy A Car | Scoop.it

This goes down as the best "how to set up a win/win" for sure! Mr Stone gets what he needs, a car over the curb, and the customer gets what they need, a new car/truck.

Wish more people, regardless of what business they are in, would think like this!

The possibility of a car being equipped with sensors to monitor our health, doesn't seem like a far stretch at all.

Considering that a good majority of us spend a great deal of time in our vehicles commuting back and forth to work, this could be useful.

I'm sure there have been times when we would have appreciated "Robin Hood and his Merry Men" doing us a favour, no doubt. I have even dropped a quarter or two into an expired meter next to me, I mean really it's the neighbourly thing to do, right??

Harassing officers though is a bit too far, don't you think?

How To Buy A Car through the Home Shopping Network!
Ryder's insight:

"Buy a car on the internet? Bull@#$%, it's NEVER going to happen. No customer is going to buy a car online" This was the answer I got from a Sales Manager when I asked about using the internet to promote myself and gain some car sales.

Hmmm, glad I didn't really listen because I have sold quite a few cars online.

Enter, now, the Home Shopping Network and actually Overstock.com has jumped onboard with selling cars via their site.

Will it work? Well Toyota is happy with their results thus far and being able to reach their target market. The guys may go into the dealership and shop around, find what it is they want, but 80% of the decision making is with the wife.

It's worth a shot, right???

Besides that ... you can NEVER say NEVER!

When does common sense kick in?

Regardless of cross-wires, if you were paving this road wouldn't you be asking yourself  "why is this pole in the middle of the road?"

This boggles the mind ... totally ... but even more mind-boggling is the fact that it took two months and a a whole lot of press before it was removed!!

Sandy's Damage Continues - Car Buyers Beware

Sandy's Damage Continues - Car Buyers Beware | How To Buy A Car | Scoop.it

She may have run her course, but the affects of Sandy are going to be felt for quite some time, especially when it comes to automobilies.

The flood-damaged vehicles will eventually end up on lots somewhere, which means if you're looking for a used car, there is even greater need for you to do your due diligence. Here are a couple of quick checks you can do to save yourself from potential grief later:

1. ALWAYS ask for a vehicle history report. You can see if it was tagged as flood or salvage. You can also get an idea as to what region the vehicle came from.

2. You will notice a moldy smell, if you don't right away then roll up the windows and sit in the car for a couple of minutes.

3. Check places like the glove box, ashtray, under the seats basically any spots where detailers may have missed during cleaning.

4. INSIST on taking the car to a reputable mechanic and have them take a look at the car. There is a cost involved here, but it's a small price to pay considering, right?

Car Dealers report their damaged inventory to their Insurance Company and the vehicles will be tagged obviously as flood or salvage, however, there is always a risk ... protect yourself.

Cars at Cemeteries - What One Ticked Off Man Did | How To Buy A Car | Scoop.it

It's sad to think that there are people who stoop so low as to take something that isn't there's, let alone doing it while someone is at a cemetery.

I do believe in karma for those who stole the car in the first place ... For the man that did something about it, fantastic!
