Bullying is not a problem found only in schools among teenagers.  It goes beyond the school gates into colleges and universities and into other workplace scenarios --without side-stepping the home and community.  Referencing a study by Leah Hollis, the importance of preventing bullying behaviors  and "modeling civility" stand out.  Is not higher education about formal learning and learning for life? Should higher education administrators be actively involved in identifying, managing, and avoiding behavior leading to bullying or harassment?  The article poses some "food for thought" about the work conditions at HE institutions and the effects could be trickling into society in general.
