Password Protection Act Bars Employers From Demanding Login Info | Hospitality Technology | Scoop.it
What kind of experience do you have in the field? Who are your references? What's your Facebook password? If the Password Protection Act becomes law, it would make it a crime for employers to ask that third question.

I didn't think we would actually need a law against this. Why would anyone give 'any' password to 'anyone'.
Danelkis Serra's comment, June 2, 2013 10:49 AM
I would not want to work for a employer which would even consider this an option.

My grandmother used to nag me about eating too fast. She would love this. Her doctor gave her a counter to eat with and she had to click it each time she closed her teeth. She couldn't swallow until she hit "25 chews". This would have made her life much better I am sure =)

It's great to see how technology is innovating the restaurant industry.

Bibi Moreno's curator insight, April 29, 2015 3:10 AM

We use devices on a daily basis, restaurants around the world are in a continuos growth looking for new markets and how to deliver to consumers their products in a modern and attractive way as technology does. At the moment internt is delivering  information to everyone in the world, people with especifics interest download Apps in their devices to obtain what they are after. The hospitality Industry is in a continuous change particularly in the Food and Beverage area, with new ideas to attract costumers.

People like to read reviews about places and have a look how many stars have obtained from previous visitors, and then make a decision to book a table or not. In my personal opinion is a good idea to have a look at this online websites as urban spoon, trip advisor, yeld ,among others and get a previous idea to know how will be your visit or what kind of food they serve, also prices, style of the place if you are looking for something especial. Looking at menus is the best manner to do the research, I suggest this type of sources for travellers to have an idea what is around your location, but I highly recommend to go for a walk tour and have a look at your own and get in at the place that can attract your attention .

I have visited a variety of places here in Melbourne where tablets are the menu and display photos of the dishes that you can order with a touch on. It is an easier way to deliver information about products for the restaurants and consumers can see how dishes look like, but something is missed here, that relation or interaction between the consumer and the waiter in this case. I believe it is always an advantage if staff can provide face to face service and give their suggestions.
