Word Booster

Word Booster | hokusai | Scoop.it

It gives you a list of words you are likely to look up in the dictionary as far as the given text is concerned, guesses a good dictionary definition for the words along with example sentences. And finally, it also makes a quiz for the words using both the definitions and example sentences. (Of course we give you the answer key too.)

This is a great free tool for creating word lists and vocabulary quizzes from online text. It works within minutes. A great time saver.

Hello Nik! I am Andrew, the creator of Word Booster. Thanks for writing about us! We are holding a webinar on Sept. 8th of 2017 at 10:30 GMT, and you could hear the journey of how we have developed Word Booster. (https://forum.oxforddictionaries.com/api/discussion/78/webinar-word-booster-the-making-of-of-the-oxford-dictionaries-api-competition-winner#latest) We won the first prize at Oxford Dictionaries API Contest 2017.
Arizona State University, Claire McLaughlin's curator insight, July 22, 2:20 PM
If you are using higher level text for your ESL/EFL students to read, you might want to take a few minutes and check this site out.  It works with online articles, and by just copying and pasting the URL, in less than 60 seconds, you will have vocabulary words highlighted, a word list with definitions and a vocabulary quiz with an answer key.  I love that it did all of that work for me in less time than it took me to check my log in and check my email!

25 Predictions for Content Marketing in 2022

25 Predictions for Content Marketing in 2022 | hokusai | Scoop.it

With a professional twist, we asked the experts presenting at Content Marketing World what they see in the next five years as the biggest changes in content marketing. This isn’t a list of predicted tech advances or outlandish guesses – it’s practical and proactive. You could take one or all 25 and begin working on them today (if you’re not already) – to plan strategically for short- and long-term success.

We’ve segregated the answers based on the five emerging themes – personalization, formats, implementation, voice-activation, and data.

As you’ll see, the impact of artificial intelligence is a theme that runs through all the categories. Ironically, Michael Brenner points out, it is technology that will help us better connect with people. “We are in a quick march to deep content personalization, add machine learning and AI to help us predict what to create, for whom, where, and how often,” says the CEO of Marketing Insider Group....

What is the Importance of a Personal Learning Network?

What is the Importance of a Personal Learning Network? | hokusai | Scoop.it
As discussed in a previous post, a personal learning network (PLN) is a customized social media platform for educators. But instead of sharing pictures, status updates, and liking each other’s filtered profile pictures, educators can learn from people and resources around the globe to improve their teaching methods, stay up-to-date on the latest edtech trends, and receive endless outside support. Today we’re listing a few key reasons why you should invest in a personal learning network, for the good of yourself and the students you’re responsible for. So, why PLNs?
