Jonathan Brown's curator insight, June 12, 2017 11:43 AM

Using hip hop to educate young minds is a brilliant idea.  For starters learning anything through a song can be fun for a child's mind to absorb the information like the sponges they are, helping them utilize their new found education elsewhere in life.  The source of this information was from City News a news platform with a loyal following on current events. Wouldn't consider this the main source, but This is just another tool to connect people with information as industry professionals to civilians can tune in for updates.

Trenton Brooks's curator insight, January 17, 2015 6:48 PM

This article entails how a school in the UK has implemented hip-hop to learn new subjects and discussions on worldly issues such as discrimination and misogamy.

Orlando NelsonJr.'s curator insight, October 5, 2015 10:03 PM

What better way to learn something thats boring. Gary Grice of the famous rap group Wu Tang Clan has on a normal spends some of his time these days in New York schools challenging student to write a rap o song in relation to science and believe it or not more and more students have been very successful when it came down to the school work. Rapper are perceived  to the youth/students as role models, so the cliche "stay in school and get your education" has been revamped and useful in regards to education and hip-hop (music in general).
