November's focus for Soical Biz is IMAGES (following the focus on Pinterest in October). There are some really helpful free tools available to help any entrepreneur, image-challenged or not, make an impact at image hungry social sites e.g. Pinterest, Facebook and Google+. There's no doubt images draw attention and drive visibility and traffic.

So many people are on Pinterest, that it only makes since that teachers and librarians try to use these resources. This article talks about how to use Pinterest to organize information, so that is can easily be found by students, and since it is through a site most teens use, its an engaging tool.

This is a great resource for implementation information. I was particularly impressed by the Oak Hills implementation site and the information they provided about the process.

Redesigning your classroom would be a great way to get students engaged and help them feel like their part of the classroom and that their opinion maters. It would also be a great was to incorporate shapes, geometry, or maybe even geography into a lesson and the classroom. ![]()

This scoop it profile by @Tom D'Amico (@TDOttawa) includes many useful blogs and articles that aim to teach in the 21st century. This includes learning with the use of technology. What he refers to as the 'iGeneration' includes many useful updates that can be used for both the students and teachers in the classroom. A few i came across that sparked my interest were a description on how to set up a blog with wordpress for teachers, this can be very useful to me as a student now and also in the future. I enjoy D'Amico's profile as he scoops quite interesting topics.

When curriculum resources are limitless due to the access we have to on-line materials, then the question we ask about those materials become more important. Values Education helps us all to ask the right questions! See some innovative whole school projects at: http://valueseducation.edu.au/verve/_resources/VASP_FINAL_REPORT_2010.pdf

I will definitely have some feedback after reviewing these tools to create online assessments. Creating assessments is an important first step because you don't give the prescription on how to fix a business before you've figured out what the problem are-that's why you begin with the assessments- they become your base starting point of reference. This article has tools to help you create those online assessments.Let me know which are your favorite tools.
