Germany is considering a new law that would force search engines to pay for publishing snippets of copyrighted material. So...will the same apply for authors who quotes sources? If the search engines were to remove the snippets would this reduce the traffic to the articles? This looks like a lose-lose issue and a lot of wasted time by government officials and business leaders alike. Will common sense prevail?
