Many nonprofits look at the match and are aghast at the $100,000 price tag. Take a deep breath and look more closely at the competition. In most, the agencies will allow applicants to make the entire match requirement in in-kind donations.

An eligible applicant may meet the matching requirement using funds or in-kind donations from the private sector and is not limited in the amount of in-kind donations it may count towards thematching requirement, , under department rules.
