Krishanu Bhattacharjee's insight:

Bollywood's leading actress Deepika Padukone has been named the brand ambassador of Hewlett-Packard India's new VoiceTab series of tablets. She says the products are "exactly what I want from my devices".

The technology giant Thursday announced the launch of its HP Slate6 VoiceTab and HP Slate7 VoiceTab, plus four new mobile devices that are built for enhanced performance and maximum mobility.

Deepika has used one of the latest products and she is a satisfied customer.

"HP products are innovative, performance-driven and easy to use, especially when on the move. This is exactly what I want from my devices. I have been using the new HP Slate6 VoiceTab for some time now and think it's a must-have for anyone who wants performance and style," the star of hits like "Ye Jawaani Hai Deewaani" said in a statement.

The HP Slate VoiceTab series are slim and light tablets with voice calling capability, powered by a quad-core processor running on Android 4.2.2 (Jellybean) Operating System and offer 3G(2) connectivity with Dual SIM convenience.

The VoiceTabs have 16GB built-in storage expandable to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The devices are aimed at India's next generation, which needs next generation tools, said Rajiv Srivastava, vice president and general manager, Printing and Personal Systems, HP India.

Supercomputer revolution: Meet HP’s The Machine – an all-in-one, mega-powerful photonic device

Supercomputer revolution: Meet HP’s The Machine – an all-in-one, mega-powerful photonic device | Hewlett Packard (HP) | Scoop.it
HP has unveiled its revolutionary supercomputer, The Machine. The all-in-one device – a server, workstation, PC and phone – uses photonic memory and is portable, potentially opening doors to a more powerful, energy-efficient global computer industry.
Krishanu Bhattacharjee's insight:

We've seen bits and pieces of technology that hint at the future of computing, but HP has just taken a big, big step toward bringing them all together. The company has unveiled The Machine (yes, that's the name), a processing architecture designed to cope with the flood of data from an internet of things. It uses clusters of special-purpose cores, rather than a few generalized cores; photonics link everything instead of slow, energy-hungry copper wires; memristors give it unified memory that's as fast as RAM yet stores data permanently, like a flash drive.
