Massive lawsuits targeting people who illegally download copyrighted content are common in the U.S., where people have been stuck with hefty

The only Canadian law firm against piracy, Canipre are thinking on implementing new laws to make easier the fight against piracy. Canadians are starting to sue people who they feel they're stealing property. for example, right now they're suing  American studio Voltage Pictures because they were requesting customer information for over 1,000 IP addresses. 

Canipre's managing director Barry Logan clearly stated they don't want to sue everyone, but people that are damaging the industry. Barry Logan also said their biggest inspiration is the copyright laws in USA. Right now Canipre the only law firm fighting against piracy, and if they keep going the way they're going, they will most likely succeed.
