Here is a great interactive map look at affordability across our great nation. The map image uses the Housing Affordability Index (HAI) to display which areas are estimated to have the least or most affordable housing. Counties shaded darkest red represent areas with the least affordable housing, while areas shaded the darkest gray are the most affordable. The midwest looks pretty great with that one exception...Chicago.
