Looking for a “busy light” for your Plantronics or Jabra Wired/Corded Headset?

Looking for a “busy light” for your Plantronics or Jabra Wired/Corded Headset? | headsetplus | Scoop.it
Until now there was no busy light available for a wired headset of any brand (Plantronics, Jabra, VXi, etc) until now. Kuando has come up with a an RJ-9 adapter in nomination with a tower stand busy light that will notify the users/co-workers around you when you re on the phone. This Kuando Busylight will work with just about any desk phone (without any headsets), any corded headset, as well as any wireless headset.  It s compatible with any brand of headset including Plantronics, Jabra, GN Netcom, VXi, sennheiser.   As long as the headset uses the standard RJ-9 jack, it will be compatible.  It s also compatible with phones that have direct connect headset jacks such as Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, Polycom just to name a few. Needing a busy light for just your office phone, this will work too!  Just plug the included adapter into the handset/receiver jack of your telephone, then the handset into the adapter, now have a busy light for your office phone! Plantronics Headset Low Volume on Nortel Networks Phone?

Plantronics Headset Low Volume on Nortel Networks Phone? | headsetplus | Scoop.it
Do you own a Nortel Networks (or Norstar) desk phone and your Plantronics headset volume is too low?  (i.e. hard to hear your caller).  If so, you may need a different Plantronics bottom cable Plantronics A10-12 Cable (high output).  It s the identical cable as the Plantronics A10-16 Cable part# 66268-02, except it has an additional 6db volume output. Use this Plantronics A10-12 only if your volume is low.  Otherwise, it may cause distortion or echo because the additional 6db volume is not needed.  This Plantronics A10-12 cable is normally used in Europe, Australia and New Zealand where the telephone design standards are different than in North America. Both A10-12 and A10-16 cable look exactly alike, so you cannot tell the difference other than the part# that it comes with. Connecting 1 Headset to 2 Desk Phones

Connecting 1 Headset to 2 Desk Phones | headsetplus | Scoop.it
If for some reason you have and use 2 deskphones on your desk, and you would like to use 1 headset with your set up, you can use this GN/Netcom Y Training/Supervisor Cable While this cable is usually used for training, connecting 2 Jabra/GN Netcom headsets to 1 desk phone, it can also be reversed to connect 1 headset to 2 sources. Now with that being said, you still need 2 adapter cables for the respective phones. So once you have the adapter cables, the bottom of the Y will connect to your headset, and the 2 split cables will connect to the adapter cables, which will then be plugged into your desk phones. (Please contact us with compatibility questions) This is only compatible with GN/Netcom or Jabra headsets and adapter cables, there is no known solution for Plantronics unfortunately. For more information or compatibility, please contact Andrew @ 1-877-999-3838 or andrew@headsetplus.com The post Connecting 1 Headset to 2 Desk Phones appeared first on HeadsetPlus.com Blog.

Also Check: Check your desk phone s volume setting. Make sure it s set to to medium. Not high . If the listening volume is too low, adjust the setting on the wireless base to increase the volume (pic below) If the sound level is still low, adjust the setting on the wireless headset itself to increase the volume. GN1000 Lifter Notes

GN1000 Lifter Notes | headsetplus | Scoop.it
If you have a Jabra/GN Wireless headset, and use it with a GN 1000 Remote Handset Lifter, you may wonder what the knob behind the device is.  The knob, when turned clockwise, or in the direction in which the arrow points, will increase the sensitivity of the sensor which let s your wireless headset know your phone is ringing.  The only repercussion with having it turned all the way up, is it may pick up other loud noises such as a sneeze or barking dog. There is also a button located to the front of the lifter that disables the ring tone function altogether. What signifies it being disabled is a flashing red light. The switch on top of the device, as you may already know, adjusts the height of which the lifter arm will raise your handset. That pretty much covers all the switches and buttons on your GN 1000 Remote Handset Lifter, also included with the lifter is an additional ring sensor, with tape, if your ringtone speaker is not located under your handset, you need to place this
