Anatomy Arcade

Anatomy Arcade | HPE | Scoop.it
Anatomy Arcade makes basic human anatomy come ALIVE through awesome games, interactives and videos.
Lauren Coyle's insight:

Anatomy Arcade is an interactive game site that helps students learn  human anatomy. it enables you to select a system of the body (skeletal system) and then presents a variety of games for that system. It encourages learning while students are engaged in playing a computer game.

Q1:

A) Explore at least 4 systems?

B) Play 2 games for each system.

Q2:

A) Write a list of games you played??

B) Write a list of your scores.

Relection: What systems do you need some extra work in?? What games did you really enjoy??

This is a great example of ways to engage students that have struggled with basic anatomy from a younger age. Students are able to learn how, where, when and why the anatomy works.

Best Sports moments plays memories and accidents

A collage of the best sports related clips
Lauren Coyle's insight:

This clip is a fantastic compilation of all the different game types. Invasion games, target games, net/wall games, fielding/striking games and even a few that do not fit into a category. It gives students and interactive way of differentiating between the game types and discussing what elements of each sport consitutes it being apart of that group?.

Questions for students:

Watch the clip on you tube.

Write down how many examples of each game type and the sport that was being played. Example 34 clips of invasion games (11 basketball, 3 football, 10 soccer and 10 netball).

What elements of the game make it the game type??

Are there any sports that do not fit into a category??

What sport was it?
