We Believe

A lyric video.. Sorybeth Contreras, Leonardo Rivero y Gabriel Timaure

Gabriel Alfonso Timaure Paz's insight:
Determinants: select a song, with an specific topic like; love, hope, peace or reference to this topics.   When we thought about the song that we will choose , we listen “we believe” of good charlotte , and we thought that it will be a great choice because it’s about somebody that lost someone and other problems in life that  probably  happened to us. But the song it´s about hope and that its the true meaning of life, always will be problems but we have to think that there’s always somebody for you, right by your side, somebody to love, somebody to fight for. And also we have to think that love can do anything and can be the solution for our problems. the song is for all of us and it makes us think that no matter the problems because always we have to believe We listen the song and inmediatly thought about that how life turns upside down and thats what we wanted to put in the video. The lyrics are put in differents parts of the video because that is what happen in real life, anything can happen and thats what we can represent. The next step was pick colors and typography, we think about blue, sky blue and white. First we try to put blue that is a strong color to represent what happend in the video the more expressive parts, then we use sky blue because we wanted to have a contrast between all the colors, thats why the rest of the lyrics are  sky blue, and the chorus the lyrics are white because is the most important part of the song and we can remember it because of the contrast and the important thing that the song wants to say to us. the typography is simple in some parts is san seriff and other with seriff we play with the sizes of this and make it look great. Link to see the video... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx_g7UMIlPGxcDdVYkNWVEFMV2s/view?usp=sharing

Facebook's walls get a stunning illustrative facelift

Top illustrator Geo Law was chosen as Facebook's internal Artist in Residence to brighten up its bare walls

Gabriel Alfonso Timaure Paz's insight:

We've seen some incredibly cool office murals over the years. Specialising in doodling office mural art works, illustrator Geo Law was recently commissioned by Facebook to complete a few installations in their offices. Armed with his trusty Uni-Ball Posca markers, it took him a total of 3 days.

"The team involved wanted me to embody all of their quirks as engineers, coders, programmers and self confessed nerds into the mural as a homage to the team ethos of the company," explains Law. "Armed with my posca pens in hand I covered a huge range of imagery and topics from famous names in computer sciences to science fiction."

Article summary

Here the summary of the article from the previous post.

Gabriel Alfonso Timaure Paz's insight:

In this article, icons are offer to sell to designers with a little experience, or for people who feel they need according to their work environment . It's actually an excellent idea to sell these icons to the public, because theres will be something do in a good way , and job opportunities for many designers who want to create this type of material open.

In my opinion it is a good suggestion, of course as a graphic designer I would not pay for it, but if I could contribute to the creation of icons, and why not, sell my icons on my own.
