Mountain Dew's Marketing Muckup, Painful PR | The PR Coach

Mountain Dew's Marketing Muckup, Painful PR | The PR Coach | Gov & Law- Hunter Krueger |

Sometimes you come across a PR fail that is so big, it’s hard to believe.

Marketers at Mountain Dew (owned by PepsiCo) hit the bottom of the barrel when it comes to racism and disrespect to abused women everywhere with a new video spot.

The firestorm for Mountain Dew's marketing fail is just getting started.

Hunter Krueger's insight:

Mt. Dew came out with some really bad marketing ads that involve abused wemon and racisim. They have definently hit the bottom of the barrel. I love Mt. Dew but this is a low blow and really disrespectful!

Jeff Domansky's comment, May 2, 2013 12:57 PM
appreciate the comments everybody. It's a marketing fail that I'm sure will be shared for some time. Not what Mountain Dew intended I'm sure and an important lesson for every marketer.
Angela Watkins's comment, May 2, 2013 9:12 PM
Mr. Domansky ... there is a lesson to be learned for everyone from this.

they honestly couldn't think of a single thing to do that wasn't sexist? come on it is not that hard to think of ideas to promote their product.

What FACEBOOK and GOOGLE are Hiding from the world

Hunter Krueger's insight:

In this video/article he goes over how the internet such as facebook, google, and news websites are selectivly picking out what it thinks you are looking for. He did a study and had 2 of his friends search the same thing and they both got different results. I agree with what he thinks and beleives, but I believe it changes with what you look up most.

Hunter Krueger's insight:

In this article a boy gets arrested for having a t-shirt with NRA (National Riffle Assosiation) and a rifle on it. He refused to take it off because it was infringing upon his 1st ammenment right. I find this funny that a boy can get arrested for a t-shirt for something that he is apart of and has no explicit images or language. I just think teachers and governement have bigger things to worry about.

Ashley Wojtalewicz's comment, April 28, 2013 10:03 AM
Yes it is a school rule that you can't wear a shirt with a gun on it at school, but I don't think they needed to go as far as arresting him because of it. Send a letter home to his parents or something. I totally agree with hunter on the government has bigger things to worry about then this boy's shirt.

Cole, I think youre totally right. Our Constitution is a momentous accomplishment, we must support. Any rule in violation of it, in my opinion, is illegal.

Obama's 50 Impeachable Crimes and Counting

Obama's 50 Impeachable Crimes and Counting | Gov & Law- Hunter Krueger |

Whether or not any of these troubling examples will lead to Obama’s impeachment and/or imprisonment, only time will tell. Regardless, taken together they paint a picture of an out of control President who lacks basic American values and has little to no respect for the rule of law.

25 More Impeachable CrimesObama’s term as Board Chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge in the mid-1990s where he and his colleague, unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, misused over $300 million in private donations meant to improve the education of minorities. Instead of spending the money on traditional learning programs, Obama and Ayers directed the funds to local community activists who wasted it on trying to “radicalize” the students. An official review of the program found that it was a complete and utter failure. As an Illinois State Senator, Obama directed tens of millions in state money to slumlords Valerie Jarrett and Tony Rezko meant to provide for housing for low income, minority tenants in return for political donations. Due to shoddy construction and nonexistent maintenance, the majority of the units, after less than 10 years of use, have been rendered uninhabitable.Michelle Obama’s politically connected $316,000 VP of Community Affairs job at University of Chicago Hospitals while her husband was serving as US Senator. She was responsible for the design of an illegal “patient dumping” scheme that prevents local African Americans from using the emergency room at one of the nation’s finest hospitals and instead redirects them to community healthcare centers where they often receive substandard and inadequate treatment. The high paying position was eliminated soon after Mrs. Obama’s departure from the university.Millions in illegal contributions accepted by the Obamacampaign during his presidential run. Credit card filters designed to screen out foreign money and domestic donors who had maxed out their legally allowable limits, as required by US law, were intentionally switched off.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s ongoing effort to create international small arms accords that will subvert the Second Amendment rights of US citizens. The Russian-American START treaty signed by Obama in April 2010 that has no chance of making it through Congress unless passed during the lame duck session. Not only does the treaty hamstring US missile defense development and make it difficult to modernize our rapidly aging nuclear weapons arsenal, it represents unilateral disarmament by the US in return for nothing more than Russian “good will”.Moving control of the Census Bureau from the Commerce Department directly into the White House where it is managed by Chief of Staff Rham Emmanuel.Providing de facto amnesty to illegal immigrants by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton, who has prohibited ICE officers from enforcing US immigration laws outside the institutional setting. The ICE union has subsequently taken the unprecedented step of voting “no confidence” in Morton’s leadership.Attorney General Erik Holder’s failure to sue sanctuary cities for violating US immigration law, while at the same time proceeding with a lawsuit against the State of Arizona for enforcing US immigration law.Failure by Obama to treat the takeover of sovereign land in Arizona by the Mexican drug cartel as an Act of War.Refusal by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Administrator David L. Strickland to release results from an internal investigation into the Toyota sudden acceleration problem that contains findings favorable to the foreign automaker.Ongoing efforts by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski to gain control over the internet in opposition to a judge’s ruling and Congress’s will, by reclassifying internet companies as telecommunication providers thus making them subject to FCC regulation.Obama and his environmentalist allies preventing US industries from taking advantage of our rich natural resources including oil, coal, uranium and timber.Obama’s month long stint as UN Security Council Chair in 2009, the first ever by a sitting U.S. President. Not only did this action give credibility to an international organization ruled by tyrants, it also called into question potential dual loyalties by our President. The Obama National Security Strategy released in May that allows for the targeted assassination of US citizens including “homegrown terrorists” without due process. It has also been described by the Kremlin, which knows quite a lot about these kinds of things, as a “new law put forth by President Obama capable of seeing up to 500,000 American citizens jailed for the crime of opposing their government.”Obama executive order signed in Dec. 2009 that allows Interpol to operate in US territory with impunity and without oversight by Congress, the courts, FBI or local law enforcement.Deployment of 1,200 National Guard troops to border states where they will not, under any circumstances, be used to stop the flow of illegal aliens or drug traffickers.A foreign policy that can be best described as the turning away of our allies, in particular Great Britain, Israel, Honduras, Poland, Columbia, and Taiwan, and the embracement of our enemies. The State Department using $23 million in taxpayer money to help transform Kenya into a constitutionally communist nation where the freedom of speech is limited and private property rights are subservient to “social justice”. In addition, the recently adopted Kenyan constitution allows for the practice of Sharia Law in some regions, ensuring women will not be guaranteed basic human rights.Obama’s refusal to hold press conferences and answer difficult questions as expected of a US President. Never in the modern age has there been a President so unwilling to answer to the American people for his actions. Considering the public’s growing anger towards his progressive policies, it is doubtful Obama will ever hold another press conference again. The $26 billion bailout of the teacher’s unions that Obama recently signed into law. Not only was the money taken from food stamp programs for poor Americans in order to fund Democrat special interests, a portion will be skimmed off the top as union dues and funneled to Democrat political campaigns this fall.Obama’s involvement with Governor Rod Blagojevich’s attempt to sell his old Illinois Senate seat. Even if Obama didn’t try to purchase the position for his chosen replacement, slumlord Valerie Jarrett, at the very least he had to know the seat wasfor sale.Department of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s plans to take control of millions of acres of public and private land in Western states by designating them national monuments. These efforts are being carried out in secret and without input from Congress, state and local officials and current land owners.Obama’s use of taxpayer money to pay for Democrat propaganda including $15 million for The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act road signs and $18 million for the perpetually misleading website. The lasting damage Obama has done to the Jewish people. In his less than two years in office, there has been an outpouring of hatred towards the Jews the likes of which I thought I would never live to see. From Helen Thomas telling the Jews to “get the hell out of Palestine” to heavily armed, terrorist flotillas destined for the Gaza Strip described as “peaceful” by the western press. From throwing stones at little old ladies leaving synagogue in Sweden to the thousands of Jewish families fleeing Muslim persecution in France, a sea change in world public opinion against the Jewish people has been accomplished during Obama’s term. Because of his refusal to speak out against virulent anti-Semitism being pushed by left-wing politicians and Islamists around the world, the harm to the Jewish people will surely outlive his presidency and could have terrible, unforeseen consequences.

Hunter Krueger's insight:

This article explains why Obama should be impeached for crimes that he has done in the past and present whether or not these are true thats what it says. It is pretty interesting like how a colegue of his took money instead of using it for public education.

littlebytesnews's curator insight, February 15, 2013 1:23 AM

Click the headline to see 25 additional impeachable offenses Obama has committed. Of course don't expect the do nothing, obstructionist Senate led by Harry Reid to do anything about it. Even if the GOP House tried to have Obama impeached, which bills have been sponsored and introduced but tend to go nowhere because of the DEM obstructionists in the Senate.

I'm sure there are many more to add to this list which was updated last in August 17, 2010. Since then Obama has pushed his own amnesty policy which has allowed for the deferrment of deporting illegal immigrants who reside in the US through "no fault of their own".

One American Voice, Terence James Mason has also compiled a more updated list at:

For the purposes of this series, an impeachable offense is:

1. An overt act, including a verbal or written act. It's still a free country, and anyone can express an opinion without retribution. However, "verbal and written" acts includes the introduction or execution of illegal, unconstitutional, and/or anti-constitutional legislation, executive orders, regulations, and/or judicial findings; instances of known or suspectedi fraud; and, statements which implore or initiate such action or inaction on behalf of others.

2. As regards impeachment of the President, an impeachable act must be performed either by the President himself (or herself, when appropriate), or by one of his appointed officers or other subsidiary officials and with the President's implicit consent (as by not firing the appointee and reversing the action). Actions performed by the Congressional leaders or members on the President's behalf might and should be cause for said member's impeachment, but they are answerable directly to the people; their actions cannot be cited for the President's impeachment.

3. The action must be responsibly documented in reputable media. Charges which are reposted from blog to blog but which never appear on a reputable web site should not be considered in the absence of a source document—or at least should be documented as "rumored" or "unconfirmed." We can't impeach the President for something we fear he might do, but will clearly update this list as soon as he acts (a candidate list is provided for such actions). Perhaps not surprisingly, many of the President's impeachable acts have been widely documented as triumphs by his party and supporters.

4. Last, but not least, the action must be either (a) explicitly unconstitutional (in excess of the President's power and authority) or anti-constitutional (violations of the Separation of Powers and the Bill of Rights of the People and States); or (b) an explicit violation of established law. In the latter case, law in question may itself unconstitutional or anti-constitutional; this can get convoluted, but the President CAN be in the wrong for opposing an existing law on the grounds its unconstitutional, but he can also enact orders with consequences which are even more damaging to the Constitution, the states, and the people.

1. Executive Order Gun Control.

2. The General Motors and Chrysler Bailouts

3. Operation "Fast and Furious"

4. Obamacare

5. The "Flexibility" Statement to the President of Russia

Michael Connelly, retired constitutional lawyers reporton Obama' Impeachable Offenses:

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution provides as follows:

“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Connelly writes:

I contend that among those high crimes and misdemeanors is the intentional violation of the oath of office administered to the President and all other federal officials. In fact, federal law at 5 U.S.C. 7311 specifically provides that violation of the oath of office includes advocating the overthrowing of our constitutional form of government. This is specifically declared a criminal offense in 18 U.S.C. 1918 and is punishable by both a fine and imprisonment.

In the 12 areas I mentioned in the paragraphs above I firmly believe that Obama, Eric Holder, and numerous other members of his administration have gone beyond just advocating the overthrow of our constitutional form of government.

In addition, former U.S. attorney general Ed Meese says President Obama will risk impeachment if he goes too far on gun control.

A fellow at the conservative Heritage Foundation and a former attorney general under Ronald Reagan, Meese warned in an interview with conservative website Newsmax that it would be unconstitutional for Obama to enact aggressive gun-control measures through executive order.

“It would not be legal. It would not be constitutional. And, indeed, if he tried to override the Second Amendment in any way, I believe it would be an impeachable offense,” Meese told Newsmax.

Obama is considering a set of executive actions on guns that would not require congressional approval.

Sign this petition to the House and US Senate to arrest Obama for Treason: ;

Constitutional Lawyer and Talk Show Host Mark Levin, also says Obama has comitted impeachable offenses: ;

Here are more offenses, some overlapping from the above as reported by "The Real Agenda":

Obama illegally authorized military intervention in Libya without consulting Congress about it, much less getting authorization or a war declaration. This, by the Constitution of the United States, is an impeachable offense.

Equally illegal were three other decisions made or endorsed by Barack Obama’s government. The Financial Bailout of 2008, where US taxpayers were shoved trillions of dollars in debt that the US government — through its corporate handler Federal Reserve — promised and delivered to foreign banks. Incredibly, those funds were not used to help in the economic recovery, but to further consolidate economic power in the hands of foreign banking institutions.

Third, after siding with the United Kingdom, which publicly pushed to attack Syria, the United States spoke about a ‘special relationship’ with the British and joined their call to carry out regime change in that country, much like they did in Libya, should president Bashar al-Assad not resign.

Fourth, both Obama and Congress, under the premise of National Security and unproven imminent threats, passed and signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act, a piece of legislation that gives the president the power to detain, torture and murder anyone, including Americans, anywhere, if he believes a person is a threat to the continuity of government in the United States.

See the impeachment campaign video against Obama, also supported by "The Real Agenda":

Stan Gudmundson: Obama has committed impeachable offenses

The Obama administration will not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act. Yet all of our political officials take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. The Supreme Court overturned an Arizona law because Arizona was trying to enforce federal law. And recently, Obamacare was upheld. These are clearly unconstitutional and therefore impeachable offenses. But we have drifted so far off-track, we just shrug our shoulders.

Our founders would never have expected that judges would legislate or invent rights contrary to the Constitution. Hamilton, in No. 78, insisted that “a constitution is, in fact, and must be regarded by the judges as, a fundamental law.”

Madison, in No. 57, was adamant that Congress shall “make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society. ... If this spirit shall ever be so far debased as to tolerate a law not obligatory on the legislature ... the people will be prepared to tolerate anything but liberty.”

James Madison, said, “I believe there are more abridgments of freedom ... by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.”
