The oil company says it plans to cut jobs in Nigeria, so it can invest more money in better production methods.

Shell planned to cut jobs in Nigeria due to plans of reorganization, this reorganization will mean over 1000 jobs will be cut.What does this mean to the economy of the Niger delta area in Nigeria?.These job losses will lead to  a reduction in consumption and lead to over 1000 people  in need of a job. This also means less tax revenue for the government as loss of jobs leads to a reduction in income tax.

despite the many advantages of Shell plc located in Nigeria, Shell also brings certain adverse environmental impacts of the Niger-delta area of Nigeria, is this environmental impact going to cause a great deal of pain for Shell or are the people protesting for a clean up just a 'mere' tick on Shell plc's shoulders,and what further and what contrasting views do the people of Niger-Delta have on the issue?
