Article: The Primaries Are Over: Don't Give In To Panic And Mute | Global politics | Scoop.it
Article: The Primaries Are Over: Don't Give In To Panic And Mute - a successful candidate is one like Ellison, the guy who rallies people to believe that the future is about more than fear -- and change is possible, in their lives, in their families, in their country. And they can be a part of it. Bernie Sanders has rallied a lot people -- just that way -- most especially young voters. He's received 80-plus percent of the youth vote in several states.

Article: Clinton Campaign Continues to Highlight Horrible Hillary

Article: Clinton Campaign Continues to Highlight Horrible Hillary - In this interview, Daniel Patrick Welch explains Clinton's latest (predicted) stumblings: 'She is just a candidate who could not win an open contest for dogcatcher without the enormous thumb and a fat sack of blood money on the scale to tilt it in her favor. Brand Clinton's absolutely shameful record on race may be coming back to haunt them as more people wise up to their true history.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
"But domestically the Clintons have been just as horrific on race, on targeting black and brown communities, using this absolutely racist 1994 crime bill which Bill Clinton actually defended only just yesterday in response to Black Lives Matter activists. Championing 'three strikes' federal legislation, mandatory sentencing, 'ending welfare as we know it,' all these things have been devastating and they continue to be devastating for our black and brown communities across the country--not just over the world with their awful foreign policy. It has been a disaster--an absolute disaster, and the fact that the Clintons would run as friends of black people is just disgusting.

Article: Clinton's Troublesome Record On Climate - Climate change action should be one of our, if not our top priority. What is Clinton's record writ large? The revolution America desperately needs: Why Bernie must start running on public education

Quicklink: The revolution America desperately needs: Why Bernie must start running on public education - Quicklink:
Daniel Denvir  writes that  it is time for candidate Bernie Sanders  to wade into the education issues.  Denvir hopes that Sanders will attack the segregation that is at the root of so many urban problems today.   ' Americans have a lot in common when it comes to getting fleeced by the billionaire ruling class, which only a populist multi-racial movement can overthrow. But inequality also has a geography, and that grim map is chiseled into America’s separate and unequal neighborhoods and schools. Sanders would do well to make note of that in Philly,  where he is speaking --  a city whose public schools have been ravaged by failed reforms for more than a decade under state control. Denvir interviews a variety of experts about why neither Sanders nor Clinton has taken on education. 50 million children are enrolled in America's public schools, and yet those schools are under attack

Article: Nuclear War if Necessary: An Interview With Frontline Filmmaker, John Pilger - The Iraq invasion was brought about largely with propaganda at first, where the media promoted the completely false notion that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and that he was a threat. Now we see almost daily some kind of story that China is a threat. We've had many stories saying, rather hysterical stories saying, 'Look, here's China being aggressive. Article: Bernie is Wrong -- It is Not the Fossil-Fuel Influence That Will Control Hillary - The influence of the fossil fuel industry is but a minor bump in the road. The major influence Hillary, or any of the past Presidents have had to deal with in that of the Committee of 300. Not much is known about this group of world power brokers, and that is how they plan it, as it is much easier to accomplish when not noticed than it is with all watching.
