Centennial College is committed to providing students with distinctive learning opportunities and global citizenship experiences - in the classroom and in the real world. As a Project Advisor for the 2011 and 2012 Peru Initiative Global Citizenship and Equity Learning Experiences (GCELEs), I'm committed to helping prepare students to be leaders of positive social change in our interconnected world.

Para Peru Con Cariño

From June 9-27, 2011, the Centennial College Peru Initiative team, traveled to Cusco, Peru. These photos, captured during the trip, portray the students of the Sciliabamba Elementary School. Located 4,000 meters above sea level, in El Salvador Peru, the school seems to sit atop the world. It is here that we worked alongside the villagers to build a school greenhouse and in so doing, witnessed the majestic beauty of the land, became immersed in the culture and discovered the spirit, hope and resilience of the children.
