Introducing Templates, Embedded Topics, and WordPress Integration through Scoop.it | Get Published | Scoop.it
We started Scoop.it for a simple reason: back 4 years ago, we observed that Web 2.0 didn’t just bring all of us an opportunity but also created an expectation that would require new tools for busy professionals. With blogs, social networks and content platforms, you don’t just have a chance to become a media if you’d like to: you are now expected to regularly publish content. The content we publish determines not only how visible we are online but also shapes other people’s perception of our interests, our areas of expertise, our skills etc.
In short, you are the content you publish.
Of course, this means first of all you should participate and that’s what we’ve been focusing on enabling so far: an experience and a curation technology that makes it easier and time-efficient to discover, curate and publish quality content on our interests. But because this content is intimately connected to our online identity, reputation and brand, we’re pleased to launch today awesome and super easy new ways to brand your curated content with Scoop.it: Continue reading →

Blogging Leads to Sales | Business 2 Community

Blogging Leads to Sales | Business 2 Community | Get Published | Scoop.it

...Higher ranking in the search engines directly correlates to more traffic flowing to a website. If that traffic is targeted correctly, then more traffic typically means more leads and more customers. The numbers are still impressive for those that post daily at 78%, 2-3 times per week at 70%, and weekly at 66%. This data along with some other metrics in their report shows a direct correlation between blogging and customer acquisition. Blogging was recorded as the most effective lead generation category as being “Below Average Cost Per Lead."...

Blogging for business can be a lucrative investment for companies of all sizes. Find out what blogging means, who uses blogs, and which brands are doing it right....

According to a recent NM Incite report, there are over 181 million blogs around the world. The way many companies treat blogs in their content marketing mix is to incorporate blogs into their website as a section or subdomain, or host them on their own domain name as we do. Good tips by Sujan Patel via Search Engine Journal about avoiding blogging burnout. The tips, with more explanation in the article, are:

1. Realistically assess your available resources

2. Set up a publishing calendar that works for your company

3. Outsource blogging tasks when possible

The article concludes, "Though all of these solutions do represent an added cost to your company, you’ll likely find that the financial benefits of keeping an active, engaging blog up and running far outweigh your initial expenses.  By outsourcing when necessary and creating a publishing calendar that’s a realistic fit for your available time and resources, you’ll eliminate the possibility of blogging burnout – allowing you to maximize the potential of this promotional strategy for the long term."
