SpaceX launch weather 70% for early Tuesday AsiaSat try

SpaceX launch weather 70% for early Tuesday AsiaSat try | Geo160 | Scoop.it

The forecast remains favorable for SpaceX's planned 1:25 a.m. Tuesday launch of the AsiaSat 8 commercial communications satellite from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

There's a 70 percent chance of conditions good enough to allow a Falcon 9 rocket to blast off from Launch Complex 40 during a window extending beyond 4 a.m.

Cumulus and thick clouds left over from afternoon and evening storms are a potential concern.

If the first launch attempt scrubs, SpaceX could try again around the same time early Wednesday, when the forecast improves slightly to an 80 percent chance of favorable weather.

This is very interesing

Michael Mazo's curator insight, December 15, 2014 2:09 PM

With the rise of small businesses in South Asia its very important to help keep this trend rising to its potential. My theory stands by the fact that small businesses help spread the wealth throughout the region therefore affecting more people in a positive way. In many aspects, small businesses are the only way to help sustain an economy with a population as big as South Asia. In a plan to keep these pressures alive, this UCF graduate plans to spread the word and help connect the community in a way that will add an emphasis towards growing the small business sector of the economy

Asia 2013 Part 7 :: All That Glitters Is Not Gold | Derek Clark | Geo160 | Scoop.it

Sometimes life takes us by the hand and helps us to see what otherwise might be missed. It shows you one thing to allow you to see another. You might not realise it at the time, you might not realise it until after it happens, but the aha moment shows it’s face and makes you wonder just how the universe nudges us one way or another as we stumble through life.  The divide between rich and poor was projected on the walls of  shops and houses, but first I would be taken on an unexpected journey with the Chinese workers of Taipa and Macau. I woke early and slipped out of the hotel room with my shoes in my hand and my camera bag over my shoulder. This was fast becoming my MO, up early and out either before, or as the sun comes up, leaving the others to sleep. I slipped my shoes on and stepped into the elevator and hit G. The lobby was empty, nobody on the desk and nobody on the door. I stepped outside and felt the Asian heat hanging from the night before. The sun had just came up, but was nothing more than a bright spot in the thick fog. I was in Taipa, but  I has heading to Macau, the Chinese gambling capital......

OBJ, others celebrate UK-based Nigerian writer, Opeyemi

SEYI GESINDE writes on the achievement of a United Kingdom-based Nigerian writer, Antoinette-Rita Opeyemi, who recently launched her new book in UK.

AUnited Kingdom-based Nigerian writer, Antoinette-Rita Opeyemi , has launched her new book entitled: The Blue Ocean: Peace, Power, Prosperity in the United Kingdom.
The 21-year-old author, Opeyemi, who developed a passion for writing at the age of six when she received her first certificate for her creative writing in primary school, said she was able to realise on time that writing was an essential part of her life.

After this self discovery, six years later, precisely at the age of 12, Opeyemi received an invitation from the International Society of Poets for a convention and poetry competition held in Florida, United States and she won a Young Poet Award.

Narrating her experience to E2E, Antoinette-Rita, made it known that while growing up, she gained most of her inspiration from her mother who supported her passion.

She, however, said that the fact that her father’s presence in her development wasn’t there, gave her more inspiration to follow her dream regardless of the circumstances and challenges she faced when pursuing her career in creative writing.

Her belief is that even as a resident in a foreign land, the colour of her skin cannot deter her from realising her dream. “You can’t use the colour of your skin as an excuse anymore,” Opeyemi said.
