Sgt. Walker's case is the first to go to trial in a widespread Air Force investigation into alleged sexual misconduct at Lackland, where every newly enlisted member of the Air Force—about 35,000 a year—goes for training. The investigation so far involves 12 instructors, out of about 500, accused of wrongdoing against 31 female recruits since 2009.
