Drummond offers no real relief

Drummond offers no real relief | FYI Auto Repair | Scoop.it

This is what bloated meddlesome government always looks like. It tries to do everything, does it badly and costs way too much.

FYI Tire leaks Found

FYI Tire leaks Found | FYI Auto Repair | Scoop.it

If your tire has a leak There is one sure fire way to find it Mix up a batch of dishsoap and water in an old 2lt bottle and a couple of shot glasses of soap will be enough than while the tire is full of air drench it down. A big leak will show up fast but a small leak will not, what I do is wait the small leak will make a mountain of bubbles after a while it might take 5 minutes or 10 minutes or more its hard to say.  http://gregthemechanic.com for more helpfull car advise.

Machining Brake Rotors

Machining Brake Rotors | FYI Auto Repair | Scoop.it

I am asked all the time "Is it worth it for me to machine my brake rotors" my answer to that is yes! If you own a caviler and pay $30 per rotor or less than its made to be used and discarded but if you have a Ford pu and you payed $120 per rotor than maybe you can machine it.

When a truck is serviced properly is not uncommon for your mechanic to be able to machine your rotors, when we do this we look for the rotors to be newer and still thick enough but needing a smoother serface to get rid of a pulsing brake pedal.

So if the price of the rotors is kinda high and they are still thick and rust free Machining is an option my little FMC works great and still sees lots of action http://gregthemechanic.com for more free advise.
