This I didn't find that surprising. Everyone texts. Why have people just realized that this is the most popular? How long has it been the most popular? Also, why did it take so long to figure this out?

With music and sports publisher partnerships, ZEFR cements its position as the dominant YouTube monetization platform for enterprises | Future of Television - Online TV | Scoop.it

When ZEFRannounced its rebranding in August, moving away from from its initial name MovieClips, it wasn’t some half-baked marketing gimmick, or the desire  for a more startup-y name with fewer vowels. Rather, it was part of a master plan that involved the company parlaying its success in managing Hollywood studio movie content on YouTube into doing the same for television, music, and sports content.

Is American Network TV Facing Collapse? Some TV Pundits Think So

TV pundits on the difficulties that  American Network TV is experiencing:

A decrease of ad revenue

American networks are facing a collapse of their advertising revenue and audiences. They have to deal with a massive competition on video contents from services such as Youtube, Netflix or Hulu.

Their mass market positioning holds up creativity and boldness in programing as they are tempted to stoop to the lowest common denominator. Cable programming can therefore be more attractive because more targeted to a specific niche.

If 2nd screen behaviors are seen as an opportunity in the industry it also accelerates ad skipping as most of the 2nd screen use is focused during TV commercials. That is yet another argument for advertisers to move their budget from broadcast TV to a more engaging media.

Cable-operators start to question the payment of carriage fees

OTT services like Aereo enable users to watch network TV without a cable subscription, cable-operator are therefore reluctant to pay carriage fees to American Networks.

With both a decrease on advertising revenue and distribution revenues, American TV networks might be facing serious difficulties in the coming years.
