This has already been experimented with at our cinema. Gaming systems are really popular, but when you play them on a 50' screen, the game takes on a whole new meaning. Cheaper Kinect prices could lead to interactive games that could be played before the movie starts. Perhaps against another auditorium, another cinema states away, or a cinema on the other side of the globe.

Perhaps this new breakthrough can make digital cinema cheaper both by physical electronic devices, and giving access through a private cloud of nearly every movie ever made. It's always baffled me why modern cinemas ONLY focus on current (1st/2nd run) features. Shouldn't a movie theatre be movie based? Why not include movies from the 50's, 70's, or 90's also?! Cloud based cinema would give cinemas the opportunity to tell Hollywood, "Hey, stop making crap!"

OLED technology will eventually replace a vast majority of display screens we are currently using. They are paper thin, feather light, consume drops of power by comparison to todays tech, are 10x brighter and more colorful than traditional LED TV's, and best of all ... they are flexible. 

 

Wall to wall curved screens. Ceiling to floor. Hell, why not make it 360* screen since you don't have to "project" anything on to it, but illuminate from within.
