Integral Immersion to Make a Better Future

Integral Immersion to Make a Better Future
.... the VUCA world (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) is intensifying and virtually everything is becoming either impossible or possible, depending on the leader.  Traditional leadership skills will not be up to the task of taking advantage of VUCA forces.  Rather, the leaders who make the future will have to be able to do things like flip dilemmas, organize social mobs, and constructively depolarize debates. They need to be Integral leaders who can transcend personal interest, empathize with others, and with nature itself. They need to be clear in their vision and agile on how to get there. Embodying skills of the sort Johansen prescribes is not a surface act, but rather deep work.  It requires flips in consciousness – starting with the primal flip of leadership: from coping to transforming.

Anne Caspari's insight:

nice one, right direction.

2012: Moving Toward Evolution By Choice Not Chance

2012: Moving Toward Evolution By Choice Not Chance | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

Evolution raises consciousness and freedom through more complex order. According to Teilhard de Chardin, the great philosopher, the “noosphere,” the mind sphere or the thinking layer of Earth, with all our Internet and global intelligence, is about “to get its collective eyes.” We are about to connect center with center and heart with heart.

2012: Moving Toward Evolution By Choice Not Chance

2012: Moving Toward Evolution By Choice Not Chance | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

We need one more conscious effort to connect the positive to make the shift in time — to midwife our own birth toward the next stage of our evolution. We may be one fraction of an evolutionary second from either connecting what is creative and loving and innovative…or devolution and extinction. This situation is dangerous…yet natural.

When Wilber writes that AQAL is a map of the prison, the integral community should immediately understand that there is no prison except for the map. A-perspectivity is the unconditioned situation of living/being without the map. If we can learn to operate from that unconditioned place, then we can create new maps through which new worlds might arise with greater degrees of freedom and open-up our choice field. If we operate from that unconditioned place we will avoid the mistakes of misplaced concreteness that weld ideas into the bars and barriers of our self-imposed prisons. If we operate from that unconditioned place we will have transmuted the prisons of our selves into the playgrounds of spirit. We will, in other words, enter into the ever-present process of enacting our future.

These Are The Surprising Jobs You'll Be Doing By The 2030s

These Are The Surprising Jobs You'll Be Doing By The 2030s | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it
As our technological and sociological realities change, so too do our jobs. But just what, exactly, will we be doing 15 years from now? Here are some completely unexpected jobs you've almost certainly never heard of—but likely will soon.
Anne Caspari's insight:

"A rewilder's job is to help hasten the recovery process of natural habitats that have been decimated by human activity," he says. "The work of a rewilder would draw heavily on distributed sensor technology."

Some of these are fun to think about but I reckon they are still on the conservative side. And some have existed for quite a while now: my job has been "rewilding" for over two and  a half decades now. First with habitat reconstruction then within consciousness and the inside of people. I do like the title "rewilder".

The Edge Of Knowing- Committment to the discipline of creative vulnerability

The Edge Of Knowing- Committment to the discipline of creative vulnerability | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

It is relatively easy to be confident about who we already are, to be articulate about insights we already have. And when we want so much to be valued, it is natural to try to appease our evaluators with expressions of clarity and assertiveness. But new consciousness begins in diffuseness, and takes shape only gradually – in soft, tentative, but somehow purposeful forms. So if we value full consciousness most of all – if it is deep spiritual wisdom that we seek – we must learn to wait expectantly at the edge of our knowing and welcome the squinting and the sometimes fumbling form-giving that happen there.

The Planetary and the Possible - Jean Houston

The Planetary and the Possible - Jean Houston | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it
The ‘possible human’ must emerge if we are to survive our planetary odyssey and come home to the world waiting in the sanctuary of the soul.

What the world so desperately needs at this time is patterns for peaceful, passionately creative and effective societies, and with those patterns, peaceful, passionately creative and effective people—in other words, the possible human in the possible society. The growth of consciousness is the paramount key to the necessary transition to a world that works for everyone, most particularly for the planet.

formerly known as What Is Enlightenment?

Gebser's masterpiece, The Ever-Present Origin (1949), outlines his unique vision of the emergence of human consciousness. Gebser tracks human history through a series of “mutations,” or structures of consciousness, from the archaic mind of our ancestors to the more contemporary stage of mental focused awareness.
