Street Photography Hong Kong: 36 hours with the Fuji X-T2 - FUJI X PASSION | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
In November 2016 I travelled over to Cambodia and logistics allowed me to stop over in Hong Kong for 36 hours, which was far too good an opportunity to pass up. I’d always wanted to visit this great city to experience the massive mix of culture, great food and vast …

Belhaven Bay by Moonlight

Belhaven Bay by Moonlight | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
Yesterday evening I walked across the road to the cliffs above Belhaven Bay near my home in Dunbar to see if I could spot the Aurora Borealis which had made a brief appearance two nights earlier. I have a mobile phone app (Aurora Watch) that gives me updates and alerts me to the possibility of activity in the night sky.

Fuji X-Pro2 Vs X100 Part II

Fuji X-Pro2 Vs X100 Part II | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
After a few real-wolrd outings with my X-Pro2 I started to seriously rethink my Fuji kit. Specifically I discussed ditching my current plan to acquire the newly released 23mm f/2 WR. Instead I mused about why it may be a better path for me to skip that lens as

By Braden Gunem I like to travel alone.  Partners and friends are great, but they can also hold you back from really experiencing a culture deeply.  Solo travel allows you a freedom and adventure rarely achievable for those rushing back home for dinner.  So when a group of friends and I booked a house in…

Mac Fuji Shooters: Iridient X-Transformer available now!

Mac Fuji Shooters: Iridient X-Transformer available now! | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
A while ago I wrote about Iridient’s new product, X-Transformer. It was
only available for Windows at the time. I don’t have access to a Windows
computer, but I did try it under parallels at the time, and I was impressed
with the results. However, because it was just too clunky to work with
under emulation, I didn’t do too much with it, as a mac version was
promised.

One Fuji X-Pro 2 Image - 7 Different Raw Converters

One Fuji X-Pro 2 Image - 7 Different Raw Converters | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
I was recently working on a photo of Dublin’s famous Ha’Penny bridge that I
had taken with my X-Pro 2 and an idea came to me. I was processing the
image in Lightroom, and I wanted to see what it would look like in
different converters. As I’ve written so much about it, and as I had an
image that I was working on for a real world project, I thought that while
I was at it, I should try a whole bunch of different converters and see
what kind of results I got.

OnOne Raw Improves X-Trans Support - Sort Of

OnOne Raw Improves X-Trans Support - Sort Of | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
Since OnOne released their Raw software late last year, the company has
been putting out major updates at a fairly regular schedule. A significant
release was announced yesterday, and as part of it, the list of features
included improved X-Trans support. In previous versions, the raw conversion
of Fuji X-Trans files was extremely poor. I covered it in a recent post,
and I pointed out the severe artifacts. So has it improved?

My Fujifilm X-Pro2 experience so far - Benamar Photography

My Fujifilm X-Pro2 experience so far - Benamar Photography | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
0011101Initially, I wasn’t as impressed with my Fujifilm X-Pro2 I got in August 2016. I have several native lenses for it as well as too many to count vintage lenses in different mounts. However, this article about X-Pro2 is with its native lenses, not with old lenses in any other mount. I’m primarily a Leica …

REVIEW: Fujinon Wide Angle Primes

REVIEW: Fujinon Wide Angle Primes | Fuji-X Photography | Scoop.it
You often see on Fujifilm forums and groups questions about which wide angle lenses are the best for landscapes and travel and I see a lot of different answers from people of varying expertise. It is really down to the individual photographer to identify what they want to shoot and the best lens for them.

For me I love to have an ultra wide lens, so my favourite wide angle lens in my camera bag is the Fujinon XF10-24mm f4, which goes with me everywhere because of its flexibility and relative compact size. I also have the XF18mm f2 prime, which was one of the four primes I bought with my X-Pro1 back in 2013, which is one of my favourite primes for having on the camera when I am travelling due to its small size and fast f2 aperture.

Fuji Guy Francis Bellefeuille strikes a pose... 1/160 sec at f/7.1, ISO

I've mentioned my interest in the upcoming GFX 50S camera/system a few times (most recently during my interview on the Hit the Streets with Valerie Jardin podcast). Last week I finally had a chance to spend some quality time with it. Not a review by any means: just quick first impressions (keeping in mind this is still a pre-production unit).
