Line workers normally repeat the same task for each product that comes done the line. It is common for workers to work long shifts, this type of work can cause musculoskeletal injuries. . The working environment can also be harazdous with machinery and chemicals used the build the product. Ergonomics programs are essential in factories to analyse the taks the ensure that the correct tools and method are applied to aid in completing the task.

Electrician

To work with electricity it is important that you are trained and competent to complete electrical work. The Queensland government requires that electricians complete both an on and off the job training program by a certified provider before they are issued with a permit 

Electricity is an energy that when not controlled can cause electric shock that will cause injury and death. Electricity can also result in explosion or fire causing burns.

Tree Lopper

As a tree looper the main objective of this role is to remove and prune trees. The are many hazards associated with this job with the main hazards being;
working at heights
falling objects
manual handling
chainsaw and chipper equipment
excessive noise
It is important that the staff are trained and inducted in the safe operation of the equipment that they will use. 

As there is falling objects it is essential that the work site is properly cordoned off. 

As well as following the health and safety legislation, are required to follow the codes of practice such as working safely with trees and working at heights.

Nurse

Nurses are subjected to a wide array of hazards that can be categorised into biological, chemical, psychosocial and physical.

Biological hazards include working in locations were there are contagious and infections diseases such as HIV and TB. Chemical hazards that nurses come into contact with can be from the drugs that are used to treat their patients. Physical hazards can be in the form of manual handling with the nation getting heavier, nurses are required to move patents around and this can be physically demanding. Psychosocial hazards can encompass violence at the workplace, working with the general public often in stressful situations

Office Worker

Working in an office is considered one of the safest professions but still has numerous hazards. Having experience with working in an office repetitive strain injuries are common.  Most office workers spend the majority of their time at their desk sitting down typing and constantly moving their mouse. When the ergonomic set up of the work station is not correct then the workers posture can be poor and injuries can happen.  Other typical issues include manual handling through picking up heavy boxes typically filled with paper. Slips and trips can be found in office spaces and can happen from hazards such as trailing cables or poorly laid flooring.
