I'm happy to announce that I've joined View the Vibe's writing team. This is my first piece. Second piece to follow this week. As an update to this piece, don't fear that by now all of the Spa Week appointments are booked. I called Holts Spa yesterday afternoon for an appointment and was told that they'd had a bunch of cancellation that day, so fitting me in this week was likely. This morning I got a call for an appointment tomorrow morning.

While I like the idea of paleo for its "eat real food" message, I agree with a lot of the article, especially this: "What's harmful is when you misunderstand the way evolution works and end up worried that because humans didn't use to do X, we shouldn't do X now."

Yup. Funding bias isn't new and we've long known that it comes with implications. It's one of many reasons that I'm happy with anecdotal evidence and care less about studies done in a lab. As the article says, "the first thing you should look for is who funded the study". I often do.
