It was really exciting reading the scoop. It added to my knowledge about Google Apps a lot. All of thees apps and tools are useful to use and access. It helps protect your information and data. It also allows you to monitor your data and your social networks. After reading this scoop, I really advice people to use these apps and to benefit from them. It's also amazing how Google made them all in one as a cloud, were you don't have to worry about loosing informations or data.

Moreover, most of these apps and tools are free to use. Even for the ones that you have to pay for them, it's actually not expensive and really worth what are you paying for.

Technology is really developing more and more and it's really important to keep up with thees developments and changes because they are helping us managing our life and makes our life easier.

What is interesting in Starbucks’ turnaround is how faithfully Schultz followed strategy theory. Those who focus on implementation and execution over competitive-strategy decisions, consider this a wake-up jolt of caffeine: it’s not how you execute; it is, first and foremost, what you execute....

Starbucks Twitter Campaign Completely Backfires

Starbucks Twitter Campaign Completely Backfires | Finance and junk | Scoop.it
A Starbucks Twitter campaign just went embarrassingly wrong.

The coffee giant recently asked customers to tweet out some holiday cheer, using the hashtag "#SpreadTheCheer." What the company instead received was a slew of tweets using the hashtag to criticize Starbucks' low tax rates and labor policies in the United Kingdom, according to the Telegraph. What's worse, the critical and at times profanity-laced tweets were displayed on a giant screen at London’s Natural History museum, where the company sponsors the ice rink. "

The Top 10 Restaurants in Social Media [Infographic]

The Top 10 Restaurants in Social Media [Infographic] | Finance and junk | Scoop.it

It’s all about social networking and being on the go these days. So, it’s no wonder people are liking fast food restaurants on Facebook, following them on Twitter, or pinning their products on Pinterest. Let’s delve into the world of fast food and see just what people are finding appealing on their social networking websites.

Let’s start with the widely popular coffee serving chain, Starbucks Coffee. Once again, people are constantly on the go, so it’s no wonder why we don’t need a caffeine pick-me-up with a nice coffee, tea, or frappuccino. Starbucks has a total of 31,381,422 likes on Facebook, safely taking the first place position for most restaurant likes. Also, Starbucks Coffee takes the gold on Twitter followers, Google+ and Pinterest followers. When it comes to YouTube and Klout, they’re not in first, but a very close second. Only by 4 points in score actually for Klout.

Since Starbucks came in second to YouTube and Klout, who was the crown for restaurant king given to? Burger King wins for the most number of video views with a total of 16,715,848 and 27,488 subscribers. And for Klout, Taco Bell takes the cake with a score of 85.

So, who was bottom of the list in 10th place for each social networking site? Facebook had less likes for KFC, coming in 10th for Twitter and Klout followers is Chipotle Mexican Grill, Pizza Hut for Google+, Dominos Pizza for Pinterest, and KFC again for less subscribers on YouTube. But hey, let’s not forget about the elephant in the room, Yelp. Give Yelp a try, they’re the 8th most popular free app and the 36th most visited website in the US. You never know, they might become your next favorite social site.

Infographic: The 4 Steps to Social Media Marketing | Finance and junk | Scoop.it
One of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is to Begin with the End in Mind.

This infographic does just that – recognizing that you need to establish your goals first when looking to your social media marketing strategy.

It doesn’t simply speak about conversions – it speaks to the other business uses of social media: Brand Marketing, Thought Leaderhsip, Service and Sales Prospecting. Much of the strength of social media doesn’t come from the immediate push… it’s the echos and volume that are established over time.

Tiffany Crosby's curator insight, October 17, 2013 12:05 PM

These very basics are a start but I wouldn't say that you could end there. Part of being able to do this well is to understand your profit drivers. To do this you need to understand your costs, your sources of revenue, and your competitive position. With this understanding, you are in a better position to spend wisely and invest differentially.

harish magan's curator insight, October 25, 2013 11:02 PM

A key tenent to becoming a successful business owner, is to avoid making serious errors in financial management, and the best way to do so is to develop an understanding of the fundamental laws of financial management.

Far too many businesses fail to survive due to their disregard for these fundamental laws, and every business owner should make it their business, to develop a clear understanding of the laws of success in financial management.

This good article, suggests that there are only three things you need to do to be financially astute in business, and it provides a simple explanation of each law and how it should be applied.

80% of Americans Live Within 20 Miles of a Starbucks

80% of Americans Live Within 20 Miles of a Starbucks | Finance and junk | Scoop.it

The green dots on this map representing Starbucks locations which are obviously clustered in major metropolitan centers.  Cross-referencing this Starbucks address location with population data, Davenport explains his mapping technique: "By counting the number of people who live within a given distance to each Starbucks, we can measure how well centered Frappuccinos are to the US citizenry. In other words: draw a 1-mile circle around every store, then add up the % of the population living within the circles. Repeat for 2, 3, 4....100 miles."   The result of this data is a fabulous logrithmic S-curve which explains much about the American population distribution.
