This biography was instumental as it spelled out her life from humble beginings, starting with her career as a model, followed by her foray into movies and being dubbed the "Queen of B movies". After marrying, she got into to radio production with the hit "My Favorite Husband" and finally with an adaptation of her radio show she transitioned to television. She and her husband Desi Arnaz (who portrayed her TV spouse, on the "I Love Lucy" show) created Desilu Productions and produced many other sucessful television programs.  After their divorce, Lucille Ball bought full rights to Desilu Productions and became the first woman to run a televsion studio.
