Jealousy Among Siblings

Jealousy Among Siblings | Family Feuds | Scoop.it

Just recently I had an altercation with my brother, well technically it was with my mother and brother but somehow I got dragged into there argument.

My brother brought a dog home which he said he had to babysit for a friend. He all of a sudden wanted to buy the dog and thought that if he brought her home then we would be allowed to keep her. This had to have been the third time he brought a dog home and each of the previous times did not work out. My mom explained to him that we cannot keept he dog and the reasons why she came up with that decision. My brother got angry and started to say that I get everything I want and whenever he asks for something he gets denied. The reason this came out of his mouth was because I had just received a new flat screen television for my birthday.

Family Problems

Family Problems | Family Feuds | Scoop.it

Everyday we are faced with issues and many people don't realize that most of the time this issues occur right at home.

I got the idea to use "Family Feuds" as my topic for Scoop. It after I witnessed an argument between my aunt, sister, and brother. It was suppose to be a fun time for the family to get together and enjoy the long weekend with some barbeque and laughter. Of course that all changed within minutes when my siblings decided to butt heads. It all happened to quickly and within minutes many things were said that should not have been, and other family members started to get involved.

The problem with having these fights with family members is that it makes it awkward later on, knowing how one actually feels. But we all know that fights among your close ones do not necessarily last long, but there is no changing what was said.

Some things that were involved in the arguments was how my brother was treating his wife (he lives in a world where he believe a wife has to do everything for her husband), property, and it escalated from there. My aunt got involved and then the dirt started to dish out. Well there was a lesson to be leared here and that was my family and any family for that matter needs to have better communication among each other. My sister got angry and started saying things that my dad had been complaining about, but had my dad sat down with the family and discussed these topics the situation problem would not have been as bad.

My brother and sister just started to speak again and soon it will be all forgotten. As for my aunt she is still angry as ever and is so far not speaking to my sister.
