This relates to unit 6 because it has to do with access to education. The department of Social Policy and Interventions is using a method where background matters. This is interesting because people no matter what social background should be able to have the same academic success if they work at it. In addition it is interesting that they can say this because what really causes someone to be academically successful. It is more how hard they study and not their background.
