Now this is an example of a fictional physical migration barrier. Antarctica is a country completely surrounded by water which would freeze even the hottest man in the world to death. Antarctica also has a very harsh climate and if your weren't sent with any form of proper scientic equipment, you would not be able to survive there for more than a few hours. Another barrier with regards to Antarctica is that it is hundreds of kilometres away from any proper human civilazation, hence, people living there would have trouble with regards to finding doctors and/or policemen in the event of a problem. In conclusion, I would like to say that any citizen would be finding food very scarce due to the fact that the only proper food there is penguin meat and a very slim chance of polar bear meat: and that is only f you are very lucky.

Poverty.com - Hunger and World Poverty | Factors that Affect Migration and Mobility | Scoop.it

Now here we have an example of a financial barrier. All of the children you see here have experienced some sort of problem in their lives which has forced them to live in poverty. Poverty is a situation whch none of us would want to be in: it would mean that we would have no luxuries like clean water, clean clothes, and fresh food in our lives. Poverty would also mean that our financial status has either no or a bare minimum on the financial support side. This lack of financial support forces them to not be able to go to school but instead, they are forced to work in dangerous industries like mining with low pay. These children also suffer from diseases like malaria or tuberculosis due to the fact that their environment is filled with dangerous pollutants and they do not have easy access to benefits like proper healthcare or clean water. We can all help to remove this financial barrier by donating to organizations like UNICEF or World Vision which assist these children in making better lives for themselves.

Factors Affecting Migration and Solutions to Rural-Urban Migration, Especially to Developing Nations | Factors that Affect Migration and Mobility | Scoop.it

Migration is the movement of people from one geographical area to another, involving permanent or temporary residence or settlement. There must be a reason or reasons of migration-either something is chasing the individuals away from their present. Migration is also a way in which people can build a new future for themselves: they can go to frontiers which are suited for their needs as compared to their country's needs. Migration is a way in which people can learn new things, meet new people, and most of all, learn about themselves.

Ontario Medical Equipment Funding Sources - Wheelchair.ca | Factors that Affect Migration and Mobility | Scoop.it

This is an example of a factor which can affect one's mobility: the need for a wheelchair. The need for a wheelchair usually begins a negative affect upon the lower body which results in the spraining, the amputation, or the breaking of a certain component, whether it be the knee, the ankle, or the thigh. The wheelchair is then implemented so the individual with this "ailment" can easily get from place to place without the usage of their legs. In today's technological age, we have wheelchairs which can operate with the use of an electronic joystick as opposed to our hands: therefore making the wheelchair very good for everyday use. The wheelchair can also be used as a permanent tool for mobilty in the event of something like leg paralysis in which the individual no longer has feeling of their legs: this then makes the individual dependent on the wheelchair for their mobility. The wheelchair is a revolutionary step in the world of assisted mobility: what will come next is anyone's guess.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Saddam Hussein profile | Factors that Affect Migration and Mobility | Scoop.it

Saddam Hussein is an example of a man who created a political migration barrier. During his rule, many young boys were forced to join the military when they could've been at school: studying to make a better future for themselves. Many families were torn apart on account of the fact that he needed to build a better army to fight in the Gulf War. The citizens of his country (Iraq) were not allowed to leave the country for his selfish fantasies: he wanted to use his citizens to build a richer country as opposed to working hard and making the country with the added assistance of his devoted citizens as opposed to his "liberal" citizens. Hussein was also an oppressor: he gave this feeling to the males that they were the dominating member of the families and that women were only there to clean their clothes and dishes. He did not feel that women and girls should have the chance to go to school and lead a life for themselves, not for their husbands: he did not feel that women and men were equal in the balance of human nature. Today, Iraq has witnessed the downfall of Saddam Hussein, and someday, they shall also see a new age for their currently wartorn country.
