Since Facebook removed the option to choose where visitors could land on your Page when they launched the new Timeline, it’s much harder to get traffic to visit custom tabs unless you have a worthwhile incentive or a catchy app icon.

it's true that it became a lot harder to get people to go to your tabs, however it's understandable because a lot of people felt tricked into going there. If you can get people to your tabs now, you know that they are committed to exploring it.

I've been seeing this happen over the past few years...a slow migration off Facebook to places unknown. Well those unknown places are identified in this article and I have to admit that Twitter is a huge surprise. (Sure, it's like texting but it's not!)
Now we can expect to see lots of blog posts and articles on "Developing an effective strategy for SnapChat."
