SPQA Accepting Examiner Applications – SPQA

SPQA Accepting Examiner Applications – SPQA | Everyday Leadership | Scoop.it

SPQA’s success depends on dedicated Examiners who provide feedback to Recognition Award Applicants, Discovery Program Participants, and Ones to Watch Small Businesses through the lens of the Baldrige Excellence Framework. Being an Examiner is an honor and potential career enhancer. Examiners dedicate an average of 80 -180 hours (Discovery and Ones to Watch on the low end) each year to review SPQA applications, self-assessments, conduct site visits as necessary, and write detailed feedback reports. Examiners come from all walks of life; the common denominator is an interest in quality and organizational performance excellence. To ensure expertise is present and consistently applied, Examiners undergo training prior to undertaking a review. Likewise, new Examiners are supported by a mentor and paired with more experienced Examiners to form evaluation Teams.

Virginia SPQA is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization managed by an Executive Director and a volunteer Board of Directors, and is one of many state programs affiliated with the nation’s Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. In a non-partisan role, Virginia’s United States Senators serve as Honorary Chairpersons and assist in program promotion and recognition of Award recipients.
