I feel like I just re-designed my Twitter header!

Oh yeah, I did!...cause I'm an idiot!

I changed it the day it was announced. Go figure! LOL

But the new look is gonna resemble Facebook and Google+ and has whole new specs. How to re-design your Twitter header and WHY it's important!

Social Media is the New Normal for Educators

Social Media is the New Normal for Educators | everithing | Scoop.it

The term “new normal” is the lingo used to describe drastic change in doing something or life after a major event. The change is usually quick and immediate. It alters one’s approach to something or way of life. In the educational world a slower transition is happening that will create a new normal.

That change agent is social media. Social media has been around for some time but its practical use is relatively new to educators. As I engage more and more educators in the use of social media for educational purposes I hear a lot of the same questions. Here are some of the most common questions with my responses.

Search Engine Optimization is not Dying. Merely Morphing

Search Engine Optimization is not Dying. Merely Morphing | everithing | Scoop.it

It seems like every other day another SEO insider is blogging about the emergence of inbound marketing as the new SEO.

As a matter of fact, Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz in his 2012 SEO predictions proclaimed "SEO without social media will become a relic of the past" and that "Google will make it very hard to do great SEO without using Google+.

It’s no longer good enough to sculpt web pages with keywords, manually build backlinks, deploy SEO programming techniques and audit all competitors for SEO in order to drive organic traffic to a website.

It now requires lots of quality fresh content (content marketing), brand engagement in social media (social media marketing) and a much more gracile technical SEO deployment.
