On Tuesday, 2 October at 6.30 pm, The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City ofPeterborough, Councillor George Simons will officially open Bridge Fair by reading the traditional proclamation, following which we will enjoy "all the fun of the fair". This year the fair will again be on The Embankment and the Sausage Supper will be held as usual in the Town Hall.

The Mayor will be welcoming guests to the Town Hall from 6.00 pm and at approximately 6.15 pm, will lead a procession to the entrance to the Fair for the official opening at 6.30 pm. For those of you who do not wish to process to the Fair, there will be a bar open in the Town Hall from 7.00 pm.

When we have all enjoyed the fair we will make our way back to the Town Hall for a sausage supper which commences at 7.30 pm. The Mayor will be very pleased if you are able to come and you are most welcome to bring other guests. There will be a licensed bar available from 7.00 pm and tickets for the supper are priced at £12.50 each.

I attach an application form for tickets which should be returned to the Mayor's office, with the monies due as soon as possible, no later than 19 September 2012. Cheques should be made payable to “The Mayor’s Charities,Peterborough”. We will then send a car park permit to enable you to park in the Car Haven, immediately behind the Town Hall, without charge.
