The finance ministers of the EU are prepared to meet at Vilnius, Lithuania to discuss Europe's banking sytstem. Their plan to to will create a 55 billion euro (72 billion) fund for bailing out bank and giving the EU Commision the final word on when banks can be shut down or not. This plan has been meet with opposition from France, who wants to maintain rule over their own banks, and Germany, who does not want to take responsibility over other countries' failed banks. The meeting will take place a week before the Germans vote for their next chancellor.

Jacob Blanquer is kinda hard to understand but he was saying that Spain, Italy, and France are all conected and if one gets a bailout the others will need one too. Blanquer also talks about how big banks are benefiting from the crisis because other smaller banks are dyeing off.

Despite the fact that Greece will need additional funds next year, the chief of the European Central Bank(Mario Draghi) has decided against giving debt relief to the country. However despite this the EU will still have to consider giving additional funds to Greece eventually.
