Athletics Summer School in Norway | European Athletics Young Leaders Community |

Fredrik Roalso and Bergliot Byre partnered with Skalg athletics club and the city of Stavanger, Norway, to create a four week summer school where 56 youngesters aged 6 to 14 learned about running, jumping and throwing from the club's coaches.

The summer school, called Fiks Ferrige Ferie, was a great outdoor summer activity where everyone had fun . . . and got fit.

Fredrik and Bergliot's project was part of the Norwegian athletics federation's Ung:Leder programme, which aimed to prepare 100 young people from around the country to be the next generation of sport leaders.

The project was such a success that Fredrik and Bergliot are planning to repeat the summer school in 2012.
