Nearly a year ago, Google began providing flight delay predictions, but in the next few weeks it plans on taking its services a step further: Google said Google Assistant will soon start sending predictions of flight-delay notifications on mobile, and informing travelers about the reasons behind the disruption to their itineraries. Rest assured that an automated flight-rebooking service won't be too far behind.

S’il apparait comme évident que les IA et le machine learning sont des solutions évidentes au déluge de données auquel nous devons faire face, mais il y a manifestement un effort pédagogique qui n’a pas été fait.

1. Toujours plus personnel
Alors que 2018 était l’ère de la personnalisation, 2019 sera l’ère d’une approche toujours plus personnelle entre les marques et le voyageur. 

La montée de l’intelligence artificielle et son évolution permettront de faire des recommandations de voyage de plus en plus personnalisées, laissant tout le travail plus laborieux aux machines.

Travelport publie son livre blanc listant les tendances du digital et du mobile à surveiller l’année prochaine. Vocal, conversationnel, prédictif… Voici ses huit prédictions pour 2019.

Voilà quelques temps que la commande vocale est annoncée comme la nouvelle révolution de l’interface. Or, Travelport prévoit dans son rapport le développement d’une autre tendance en matière de recherche : l’image. Une prédiction soutenue dans le livre blanc par Dan Young, Directeur du Digital pour easyJet. Il est rejoint par le CEO de Pinterest, Ben Silbermann qui avance que la recherche passera plus par des images que par des mots-clés demain.

Deloitte’s 9 tech predictions for 2019

According to the company, 2019 will see massive improvements in a wide range of technologies, pushing once-novel innovations into the mainstreams of our lives and work.

Deloitte said in its forecast that it expects 164 million smart speakers to sell in 2019 at an average price of $43. Total industry revenues will be up 63 percent, compared to $4.3 billion in 2018. The number of smart speakers in homes is expected to top 250 million units by the end of 2018.

Hotel Affiliate site tophotelsnearme.net is currently hijacking hotels Google My Business listings and replacing their official website URL with their own links.

This affiliate site uses “Suggest Edit” in Google Maps to suggest their own URL, a few more account then select the edit as correct and hey presto the edit is approved.

Open Data in Deutschland: Diskussion eines gemeinsamen Weges - Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus e.V. (DZT) - Pressemitteilung

Die Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus (DZT) treibt aktiv die Einführung einer offenen Datenstruktur (Open Data) für ihren Content voran. Konzeptionelle Ansätze für einen gemeinsamen Datenstandard wurden zudem von der DZT mit Vertretern von Landesmarketingorganisationen in Meetings am 23.11.2018 und am 11.12.2018 in Frankfurt diskutiert. Hierbei ging es um eine Bestandsaufnahme innerhalb der föderalen Struktur.

Die nächsten Schritte stehen im unmittelbaren Zusammenhang mit den politischen Rahmenbedingungen. Im Koalitionsvertrag ist die Ausweitung der Bereitstellung von mit öffentlichen Mitteln finanzierten Daten in einem zweiten Open Data-Gesetz bereits festgeschrieben.
