Indoor Sports Facilities Management in the US Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld | Rebound

Indoor Sports Facilities Management in the US Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld | Rebound | Sports and Recreation Facility Management; Terry, J. | Scoop.it

The Indoor Sports Facilities Management industry escaped the recession relatively unscathed compared with other industries in the leisure sector. Over the five years to 2012, IBISWorld estimates industry revenue grew at a 0.1% average annual rate, including 1.5% growth in 2012 to about $  780.4 million. The industry did contract 4.0% in 2008 and 0.2% as wary consumers curtailed spending on higher priced recreation activities at ice rinks and swimming complexes, but demand for indoor sports facilities rebounded quickly as consumers increasingly perceived industry team sport services as a necessary health and social expense

Unfortunately, the article cannot be accessed. However, according to the summary it can be assumed that this would be a great example of a subsidy that did not require tax dollars, but rather was a sponsored improvement. The donations from several companies afforded the youth recreation league a new score board.
