A twisted ankle or torn ACL can signal the end of a career for a college or professional athlete.  These athletes will put everything on the line for the love of the game and to be able to play in the play-offs.  Oftentimes, the athlete may be pushed too far, beyond what their body should endure.  This article skirts around the possibility of athlete's pushing themselves too far and possibly compromising their own personal ethics to stay in the game.

Sporting ethics is huge deal, you can get anybody to go out there and coach and yell and do ridiculous things and think that its okay because you have wins, but teams are looking for coaches that have good ethics because it just puts a better face on the team rather then someone who is getting in trouble for cheating and etc.

Gary M's curator insight, November 3, 2014 2:59 PM

Comparing, exchanging, and collaborating the standards of ethics within coaching internationally will give us all insight on how athletes or anyone at that matter is being treated, trained, and/or if there is any authority abuse going on by the coaches. - GARY M.

Basically, pot use in boxing. Is it wrong or isn’t it? I’m a supporter of the legalization of marijuana. Should it be allowed for someone to use in boxing? If they want to train high, that’s their business. If they want to use the stuff on there down time, fine. But pot can make you lazy. That’s why this trainer is against it.

Adam Odell's curator insight, July 20, 2014 3:12 PM

Coaching ethics not only comes from the coach but also comes from the first coach an individual has that is their parents. Parents should also be within the guidelines of Ethics and morals in sports and in life.

athletic trainers aren't just on the sideline there also physical therapy facilities and rehab

Taylor Labar's curator insight, May 14, 2014 10:25 AM

Being in the athletic training field, gives many opportunities for someone to commit unethical acts. Depending on where you work, some schools or athletic programs will allow for some unethical things to happen. It is up to you to decide whether you can live with those decisions if you chose to look the other way.
