The main goal when working with someone who has a TBI is getting their lives as similar to the way they were before the injury as they can. Occupational Therapists work with patients of Breast Cancer from the diagnosis stage to the survivor stage. They work with them pre surgery to make sure they go through the surgery with as few complications as possible. OT's also work with Breast Cancer patients to make sure they are still able to use a full range of motion and are able to engage in all activities they want to be able to do. OT's can also help them learn how to conserve engery becasue they are more than likely going to get fatigued more easily due to the cancer.
