Embedding 3D Art in Your Home for Spectacular Visual Design Effects

Embedding 3D Art in Your Home for Spectacular Visual Design Effects | English III | Scoop.it

There are many contemporary artists who use the street as canvas for their incredible 3D lifelike scenes. But why not take this idea further and come up with something spectacular when decorating your home? The two examples below found on My Modern Met have a stunning visual impact- just imagine visiting a good friend and being welcomed by wild animals trying to break lose from the floor and grab you. Okay, probably not the mosts inspiring scenario, but all in all the idea is pretty interesting and worth being shared. The best thing about embedding 3D art in your home is the choice diversity. You can let your imagination run wild and come up with highly creative ways to reinvent your room. And you do not lack drawing talent, there are many interesting sketches you can find online that can help you do this type of project on your own. What is your stand on this “decorating” idea?

Visual Language Of Empathy: Empathy and the Act of Artistic Creation

Visual Language Of Empathy: Empathy and the Act of Artistic Creation | English III | Scoop.it

I thought I start my blog with some thoughts on how I see my relationship with art and tthe place of empathy in artistic creation. I believe that art is the universal visual language of empathy. Not empathy as we understand it today, but rather empathy in its original meaning. So let’s talk about how it all began.

Einfühlung, the German word for EMPATHY, means: infeeling. In was first use, in l873 by German psychologist Robert Vischer, Einfühlung names the placing of human feelings into inanimate things, plants, animals, or other humans in a specific way. So originally Einfühlung fused a human’s experience with an object’s experience that it no longer felt like the human’s own experience but instead like that of the object.

Muftah » Popular Visual Art in Afghanistan

Muftah » Popular Visual Art in Afghanistan | English III | Scoop.it

After Tunisia and Egypt, it was Afghanistan’s turn to be covered in the bold and beautiful colors of graffiti. It all became possible because of one young woman’s unflinching determination. She stood up and vowed to help her country; she is Afghanistan’s first female graffiti artist. Her cry for freedom is an example of the serious changes she wants to see across the Middle East.

But it was not an easy ride for the twenty-four year-old Shamsia Hassani—who highlights injustices against women in conservative Afghan society. Like all graffiti artists, she is no stranger to vitriolic criticism of her work, which highlights injustices against women. More importantly, she is well aware that she could be assaulted at any time for her work.

She became famous for her art in her hometown of Kabul, while living among the sounds of gunshots and bombs.

An interesting article exploring how sound can be turned into art. It provokes thoughts on how artistic inspiration can be found in a wide variety of areas that are not always traditionally associated with art.
