Jacalyn Job's insight:

This image is pretty self-explantory. The outcomes of conflict; Win- Win, when comprimise is achieved and both parties win, Win-Lose, when one party dominates the other, comprimise is not achieved and results in one party at a loss, Lose-Lose where there is no achievement as a result of conflict, no parties win.

Jacalyn Job's insight:

Shows the conflicting reality of child slave labour, innocent children that know the truth of their life in poverty and being taking advantage of;  missing out on a normal childhood, that most of us can boast of.

It also, creates conflict within me wanting to know how a world that can be so wonderful for some, can have children that have a quailty of life that is so poor for others.

Jacalyn Job's insight:

This mind twister creates conflict within the brain; half of you wants to read the word and the other tries to say the colour and all you get is confused! This shows how two conflicting agenda's don't get you anywhere except confused.

First World Problems

Send this video to someone with FWP and let them know how much we care... Special thanks to: Greg: http://www.youtube.com/slopsmcgee Dtrix: http://www.youtub...
Jacalyn Job's insight:

This video shows the petty side of conflict, how our problems in our society are so small compared to conflicts of the world such as povery and starvation. Its contention is that comprimise and getting over it is necessary to resolve conflict.

* Sorry about the "shut the full cup" bit!

Jacalyn Job's insight:

This piece shows how creativity is brought out through conflict, it also shows that through conflict change can happen in which it is not always harmful.

great quote for writing

Via Jenny Gilbert
Jacalyn Job's insight:

This quote shows the insight of the "flight or fight" principle when encountering conflict, it relates to an aspect of conflict that to do nothing is a worse crime than the conflict itself.

Ronald Reagan Quotes at BrainyQuote.com | Encountering Conflict | Scoop.it
"Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means." - Ronald Reagan quotes from BrainyQuote.com
Jacalyn Job's insight:

This quote is very relevant to the topic, "encountering conflict" as it tells us that conflict is all around us, it is something we can't escape. However, we don't have to let conflict rob our ability to have peace or resolve conflict peacefully.

Jacalyn Job's insight:

Shows conflict is caused by differing ideals on many levels in this case racism with the issue of allowing African American children to go to school with caucasean children. It also shows through these young boys how igrnorance, probably passed down through generations of their families, has effected them and caused conflict in their lives

JULIAN SMITH - Malk

Jacalyn Job's insight:

This video shows how conflicting ideas or in this case the way you say milk can cause conflict. Although a bit extreme, this video is a prime example of how little conflicts can turn into big conflicts if parties arent willing to accept or comprimise in which the consquences can be extreme.

Jacalyn Job's insight:

This picture shows the turmoil of inner conflict; what is morally right or morally wrong. Usually, we find that the "wrong" alternative is more appealing and in many cases we don't listen to our "angel."
