Its all about employee psychology. A collection of different personalities coming from all walks of life. Meeting at a common selected place to exchange their labour for pay and perceived benefits including fairness, justice, Humanity, positive feedbacks, guidence & social secutiry till death. This labour is of different colours. Trust building is key which takes place depends on the leadership style of the immediate superviosr. The key psychological values of the supervisor is to forgiven & forgotten. Build teams instead. Managerial competency matters. Employee Engagement is a choice employees make independanly. However they make or brake organizations. Norm is set by employees like equity theory. Path goal theory in action. I agree with mercer organization with regard to the engagement process. EE is built to last. However its in the hands of supervisors and intelligent employees. Respect for each other and understanding the challenges faced by each other are key for EE.
